For the Basque Weekly #86: I like IG but maybe you hate it (??)

Ongi Etorri, Welcome to the For the Basque Weekly!

Each Monday, you’ll get a recap of the previous week’s editions of the For the Basque Daily-ish newsletter. along with everything else going on in the For the Basque world.

Kaixo lagun!

After a long 5 days of walking about 50 miles on the picket lines in freezing temps, we’re finally back to school with a tentative agreement. (If you missed it, my school district went on Strike last week.)

Now just two weeks left before Christmas. I was happy to be around my students at school again even though it meant getting them locked in to work again. πŸ˜…

Outside of high school, I’ve been hanging out on Skool. I've been posting check-in videos, connecting with new faces, and sharing quick Basque quizzes. But it got me thinking...

Where do you hang out online? Click one of the choices below or hit reply! Ados? Ok?

Maybe there's a hidden Basque corner of the internet I don't know about yet. And of course I wanna know about it.

Hit reply and let me know where you like to spend time onlineβ€”especially when it comes to Basque culture, Basque language, or Basque community. I’d love to follow or join in.

And before I forget, here's your For the Basque Kit with the abenduko oparia, December gift to help you see Basque daily on your computer or phone. I took the pic in this month's calendar my last December in Donostia in 202, while walking around Gipuzkoa Plaza & looking at all the holiday decorations.

πŸ‘‡ And now for the recap of what you may have missed in the previous For the Basque daily-ish:

Previous Basque quizzes:

Thursday: I'm adding quizzes to our new Basque Skool. Join us to test yourself & let me know if you knew the words. Ados? Ok?

Thursday: Go say KAIXO to Iker. He's our newest athlete of the US Federation of Pelota who played in Bilbao recently for the 36m League of Nations.
